JAPAN
Tokyo, Japan – February 13, 2025 – Allied Telesis, a global leader in intelligent networking, today announced its collaboration with JMS Co., Ltd. The collaboration involved verifying the compatibility of Allied Telesis’ Wi-Fi 6 compatible wireless LAN access point, AT-TQ6702 GEN2, with JMS’ hospital-use infusion pump, CURESENCE® IP-100, along with the CURESENCE® infusion pump IP-100 External Communication Software.
Background
JMS designs its products by incorporating feedback from healthcare professionals and patients, with the goal of standardizing the medical procedure safety and alleviating the challenges faced by workers in the complex healthcare sector. This commitment to innovation has been widely acknowledged by medical institutions, with its products now available in over 90 countries, including Japan.

This philosophy is exemplified in the infusion pump CURESENSE® IP-100(※1) (hereinafter, infusion pump “IP-100”), designed for intravenous drug administration. It features a drip detection system that enables early identification of abnormal flow rates and a warning function for incorrectly attached infusion sets, ensuring safe and reliable infusion management. Additionally, the infusion pump “IP-100” is equipped with a built-in wireless LAN unit, allowing it to connect with “the IP-100 External Communication Software” (hereinafter, “IP-100 Communication Software”). This enables remote monitoring of the infusion pump’s operational status, as well as reviewing its activity history. This capability enhances the efficiency of infusion management and contributes to improved patient safety, operational effectiveness, and overall manageability in healthcare settings.
As healthcare digital transformation (DX) progresses, the growing number of wireless and IoT devices connected to networks has led to higher communication loads, increasing the risks of delays and disconnections. To address this, JMS and Allied Telesis conducted a verification of the infusion pump “IP-100” in an environment utilizing Wi-Fi 6- compatible wireless LAN access points and solutions, with the aim of establishing a highly stable and reliable wireless LAN environment in healthcare settings.
The verification also demonstrated the effectiveness of batch management, achieved through dedicated infusion pump software.
Results of the Verification
The connectivity between the wireless LAN and the infusion pump “IP-100” was successfully verified, confirming the feasibility of stable pump operation within the reliable wireless LAN environment. Additionally, it was confirmed that the location information and connection status of the infusion pump “IP-100” could be visualized using AT-Vista Manager EX. This verification ensures that operating in a stable wireless LAN environment, along with the ability to visualize the status of infusion pump “IP-100” via the AT-Vista Manager EX interface, will contribute to more efficient and safer equipment management.
Outline of the Verification
Two types of wireless LAN environments were created: one using the Allied Telesis Wi-Fi 6- compatible access point AT-TQ6702 GEN2 as a stand-alone unit, and the other using multiple units of the same access point model along with AWC, a solution that ensures stable wireless LAN communication through autonomous optimization and adaptation.
In each wireless LAN environment, compatibility verification was conducted for the infusion pump “IP-100” and the “IP-100 Communication Software”. Additionally, the location and connection status of the infusion pump “IP-100” were monitored through Allied Telesis' AT-Vista Manager EX.
The components of the two wireless LAN environments verified are as follows.
[Verification 1] Connection with stand-alone access points
A verification test was performed with an AT-TQ6702 GEN2 access point and the infusion pump “IP-100”.
[Verification 2] Connection with multiple access points in a cell-based wireless LAN environment
Verification tests were performed with multiple units of the AT-TQ6702 GEN2 and the infusion pump “IP-100” in a Wi-Fi environment using AWC, a proprietary technology cell-based wireless LAN solution.
